If you want to hire our space on a day/time we are open as normal:

• We have no flexibility on these days as we have a set schedule and other bookings to cater to.

• On these days, you can ONLY book privately by booking all 12 seats (if they are available) via the website for the time slot you desire.

  • If, for example, you are only booking for 8 painters, the additional £40 to book all 12 seats is the cost of exclusivity.

  • If you do not want to pay an extra £40 to have the space to yourself, and do not mind sharing the session with 4 other painters, just book 8 seats as normal.

• Please do not book privately on these days if you have 6 painters or less.

• Please note on the websites booking system, we only take bookings up to two months in advance, so if your date is not available yet, complete the booking form at the bottom of this page.

• If you are booking via this method, you do not have to fill in the form below unless you want to get in touch with the team to discuss any special arrangements.

If you want to hire our space on a day/time we are NOT open as normal:

• Please fill in the form below and open the discussion as to whether your date and time is workable for staff outside of normal working days/hours.

• We are a small twelve seat studio.

• We have a Table of 8 and a Table of 4 available to seat up to 12 painters. (see picture at top of page)

• We can potentially expand to 14 people, but that is our absolute maximum.

• There is no space to accommodate things like a table of gifts, or party food.

• If you are booking for children, and have a full party of 12 children, a maximum of 2 adults can attend unseated to supervise.

• All booking slots are two hours long, and you must arrive and leave promptly.

• If you would like to hire the space for longer than two hours, additional time is calculated as follows:

  • £15 for half an hour

  • £30 for an hour

  • £60 for two hours

• If your group stays over 15 minutes past your allotted time, a £15 charge will apply.

cost per painter: The cost per painter = [£5 Studio Fee] + [price of chosen pottery]

pottery prices: Pottery is priced by size and base cost, and ranges from from £15 - £45.

Here is an example scale:

£15 = Mug
£20 = Bowl
£25 = Small Jug
£35 = Large Jug
£45 = Large Jar

pre-order pottery: If you would like toor special order specific pottery to meet a theme or budget, let us know in the ‘Event description’ section of the order form what you are looking for.

deposits: Deposits are £10 per painter, and non-refundable.

• You are welcome to bring simple decor such as balloons with you.

• We do have rainbow coloured bunting, hanging fans, and rainbow table flowers available to use free of charge.

• You may arrive 10-15 minutes earlier to set up any decor.

Food:

is prohibited due to:

• health and safety around glazes

• grease on fingers will affect the piece you are painting.

• lack of space

• Note: We do make allowances for cake, and can provide plates and a knife for cutting. This must be consumed after painting has concluded, and the time for this must be budgeted within your two hour slot.

Drink:

• If you have booked the entire space privately, you are welcome to bring your own drinks, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, and we have glasses and a corkscrew available to use in the studio.

• Note: We have Bird & Blend loose leaf tea available to purchase, as well as a range of Cawston Press canned and carton drinks.
